Hennebry Family 2026 Orlando Florida Disney Trip
We had the immense privilege of being able to travel to Orlando, Florida for 2 weeks to do a “No Park Disney” Vacation (which, for the uninformed, means: Doing everything free in/around Disney without ever paying to step foot in an actual park). We explored so much and still got to experience tons of the Disney magic during our time in the US. Here are (just!) 400 of our favourite moments from our 17 days abroad.
I Downgraded My Cameras For Reasons That Don’t Make Sense (to Most)
I was a lifelong Nikon shooter until I sold all of my gear in 2022 and went all-in on Fuji. Now, I’ve backtracked a little and bought back some of that older, crappier gear. In this extensive deep dive, find out why.
Labour Day Weekend at the Cottage
For our third year running, we take our kids to the cottage for one final hurrah before the summer comes to a close and school starts back up. Lazy mornings, typewriters, plenty of beach time, and even a fireworks show.
Rainy Walk with the Kids, Typewriters, and Early Mornings in the Dog House
Still getting in my reps with the Nikon D600 as my primary camera body (with those beautiful, beautiful Sigma Art lenses): a collection of moments from a week or so in August.
A Baseball Weekend in Cincinnati
My in-laws were gracious to gift us with a weekend away in Cincinnati (without kids!) to take in a Cincinnati Reds game and tour the stadium and their hall of fame. Making an event of it, we explored a bit of the city and survived a crazy summer heat wave.
Cinematic Front Yard Photos of My Kids
I’ve always enjoyed how much cropping an image a particular way can impact the final result. Enjoying a warm afternoon in the sun on our front porch, I snapped a few photos before we finished off the evening with bbq burgers for dinner. Sometimes you remind yourself that your life can feel like a movie if you just look at it the right way.
Work Trip to Alberta
Life (and work) will take you to some beautiful places sometimes. I had the opportunity to travel to Canmore, Alberta for a few days with some coworkers for a Sales forecasting meeting. Never mind the spreadsheets and business talks, though: I’ll remember the mountains and the people I got to share that time with. Here are some favourite photos from the trip.
Multiple Trips to Las Vegas
Two trips to Vegas in a month = two times the amount of photos. Catch up on some of the sights from back to back trips I did in the Winter of ‘22
Toronto Street Photography at Night
I’ll pretty much take any opportunity to walk around Toronto to snap a few photos. After a work function, I spent 30 minutes strolling the streets with my camera. No particular map of anywhere I wanted to go: just eager to put my new Fuji XH2S camera to work.
Our Miami Beach / Cruise Photos
We went on a vacation without the kids! It was a ton of fun. Enjoy scrolling through our top photos from the trip.
Cincinnati Weekend and Dinner with Mia Sheridan
My wife never used to be a reader… then I bought her a Kindle. 1,000 novels later, and she has certainly read more books that I ever will. One of her favourite authors is Mia Sheridan, who was doing a book signing in her hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio. Only being about 5 hours away, we made the trek down and were kindly received by Mia and her husband for dinner the night before. Incredible couple, amazing author, wicked city. Can’t wait to go back!
Blue Jays Game & Roaming Around Toronto
Work was kind enough to give me 4 tickets to a Jays game, so me, Leanne, and my brother and sister in law made a day of a trip to the big city. Of course, in Toronto, there’s aways tons to photograph.
The Magic of Black & White Photography
I’ve fallen in love with black and white photography and I don’t know when I’ll ever come back. Read about the journey & why you should consider taking it.
Document Your Mundane Life
Photography wasn’t my first love, but it is my forever love. Learn why I think every person in the world should pick up a camera (or their cell phone) and intentionally document their life—the exciting and the mundane.
Venice: Italy Trip • Part 8
Is it like how it looks in the movies? Yes, it absolutely is. Maybe even better. We loved capping off our Italy trip in Venice, and have encouraged tons of couples over the years to make it a mandatory stop on any tour of Italy. It is indescribable: truly one of a kind. These are our last photos of Italy before returning home.
Florence: Italy Trip • Part 7
Florence was a city we hugely underestimated prior to arrival. This city — it’s vibe, the architecture, the pace, the city squares, everything — took us by surprise and the whole time we were there, we were thinking “I can’t wait to come back and explore this place properly.” What a perfect place to spend our 3rd wedding anniversary. Enjoy the photos.
Rome: Italy Trip • Part 6
From the Colloseum to the Trevi Fountain, local parks to local grocery stores, our time in Rome was a little quieter than the adventure some choose, but it was the perfect experience for all we wanted to see. Here are a few of the highlight moments.
Capri: Italy Trip • Part 5
Our private boat ride around the island was worth every euro and the experience was one of those once-in-a-lifetime events. Capri was the perfect halfway-point of our time in Italy, and made for a ton of incredible photos.
Positano: Italy Trip • Part 4
Nevermind all the endless stairs and the non-existent roads, there’s no denying that Positano is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Here’s what it looked like to be perched on the coast of the Mediterranean for a couple of days in 2017.
Atrani & Amalfi: Italy Trip • Part 3
Just before you make it to Amalfi, you’ll pass through a small town named Atrani. This fantastic spot (with all the character and fewer tourists than Amalfi) is the perfect way to experience Amalfi while retaining a little more of the charm of a city on a hill. Here’s how the town looks through our eyes.
