Venice: Italy Trip • Part 8

12 06 29

The last stop on our tour of Italy was always, undoubtedly, going to be Venice. It absolutely lived up to the expectations we had of it based on movies we'd seen and photos that circulate the internet. We stayed in the San Marco area which seemed to have buildings spaced tighter-together which makes for more visually interesting and narrow canals. We came up with the money for a private gondola tour and it was definitely worthwhile. How could you come to Venice and skip it? The city was the perfect conclusion to our trip. We had too much fun getting lost in alleyways and crossing countless bridges just exploring everything in sight. Our final morning involved taking a water taxi to the airport (because there are no cars, nor roads, in Venice) before officially calling it quits on one of the most insane three weeks of our lives.
