Work Trip to Alberta

I’ve been beyond-fortunate to be sent across the US & Canada in my time as Marketing Manager for Boshart Industries. Whether it was for customer visits, trade shows, or annual sales meetings (this trip), I got to explore some pretty awesome places in the hours after day-long meetings talking about expanding sales territories and quarterly forecasts.

For this Canadian Sales Summit, the team converged in the rocky mountains of Alberta (specifically Canmore). We went in March, so the weather was still questionable (but honestly, far less snowy than it could’ve been!). That being said, it made for some really fantastic grainy, moody mountain photos. The way the sun will dance on the clouds as it sets behind some jagged horizon is second-to-none.

I look back at these photos as I’m no longer with Boshart, and some from the trip have since passed away. It makes you recognize life is short and that moments captured in photos hold a special kind of opportunity to out-live any one of us. All the more grateful for the places I’ve been lucky enough to go, and the people I’ve been lucky enough to share some life with for the time that I did.

Side Note: I got violently ill on this trip. I don’t know if I picked up some sort of 48 hour stomach bug or ate something that my body did not agree with, but there was a significant amount of time spent laying in my hotel bed and trying to work up the energy to be with my coworkers. Looking back at the highlight moments where I was feeling well enough to participate, you recognize how selective memory can be and how the right photos can paint a certain picture. I actually don’t hate that part. I’d much rather the good than the bad.
