About Jennifer
Jennifer Budd is a recording artist and performer from Hamilton, Ontario. She also is a music and dance teacher under her studio Théma Arts Academy. Her level of talent and vocal abilities are absolutely second to none. She is a natural born musician and entertainer, and she is so full of joy that listening to her sing is going to put you in a better mood, guaranteed.
About the Project
Jennifer recently successfully crowdfunded (and exceeded her goal) a Christian worship EP of a few original songs she had written. Over the following months, Jen would be recording and then debuting these songs to the public.
First, we began by hitting up the streets of Hamilton to capture promotional photos that Jen could use when advertising the EP online. Taking place downtown, the streets of the city felt like the perfect place to shoot because it is for these streets that Jen was moved to release the EP in the first place.
After that, Jen brought me along during the choir vocal recording which took place at 541 Eatery and Exchange; a fantastic community-focused cafe if you’ve never heard of it before. Part of the reason that recording in this space was so special was because the entire proceeds of all sales of the EP will go towards funding the cafe. Jen’s heart is as big as her talent, and the sheer joy and excitement of filming and recording in the space she was working to benefit brought everything full circle.
